Women Cell | GOVERNMENT POLYTECHNIC, VADNAGAR

Government Polytechnic, Vadnagar has introduced a Women Development Cell in order to create gender sensitized environment for students, teaching and non-teaching staff Providing safe environment to work, study and develop their potential to the fullest. The Women Development Cell can be approached in case of any grievances/complaints of teaching, non teaching staff and students, especially in cases of gender discrimination.

OBJECTIVES OF WDC :

To undertake awareness programs on gender sensitization, women’s rights and women empowerment through guest lectures.
To create legal awareness among women by informing about Women Welfare Laws.
To prevent sexual harassment at workplace by redressing the cases of sexual harassment if any.
To enforce disciplinary framework for students
To create awareness about health and hygiene among girl students.
To organize the programs with other associations of the college such as RUSA, Gymkhana etc.
